It's been awhile since we blogged so I need to bring you up to date on what we've been doing!

This year we started designing a Door Hanger for each month of the year. It's not a HOM, you just order the pattern or kit and participate at your will.  So far we have presented the Snowman and the Saltbox House you see below and they've been big hits.  This month we're working on a 'bunny'.  The 3rd picture is a sneak preview (it's not quite finished)  (;-).  There will be a mailing soon with all the particulars.

 Saltbox Door Hanger

Preview of March Door Hanger 'bunny'

The latest in our Primitive Pincushion Series, which we debut each January, is this happy 'sheep'.  The body is made with a new techniqué, called Texture Magic, which adds dimension and eye popping texture when ironed on to your fabric or wool and then steamed. Some fun stuff!

This quilt is from 'Primitive Quilts & Projects 2014 Winter Issue' and is called 'Square Dance'.  It finishes 72" x 86" and is made with cotton fabrics.

'Farm Girl Finery', is a Kim Diehl design from her latest book, "Simple Appeal".  It's a 64" square quilt, embellished with wool appliqué in the center and wool pennies in the border.

The next three items are from 'Primitive Quilts & Projects 2015 Spring Issue'.

Spring Has Sprung, all wool appliqué

What A Dish!, Dresden plates big and small, all cotton fabric

Mi Amor, if crazy stitching is your thing, you'll love this small, elegant table mat to test your skills in the Colonial Knot, Herringbone Stitch, Stem Stitch, Lazy Stitch, Blanket Stitch, Cretan Stitch and Bullion Knot.  Some of these stitches I had never heard of so it was fun to learn something new!  This is made with our hand-dyed felted wools.

If you click on the names of the projects above it will take you right to our website for more information.

Next week we'll be in Lancaster PA at the Continental Hotel.  Hope to see some of you there!

March 20-21, 2015 we will be right here at home in Wilmington NC for the Quilters By The Sea Quilt Guild's 33rd Annual Quilt Show.

At the end of this month we'll be in Savannah for the Quiltfest at the International Trade & Convention Center, March 26-29, 2015.  We have 2 General Admission tickets to give away.  If you are going and would like to have an opportunity to win these tickets, please e-mail us at auntiejusquilts@bellsouth.net and just put Savannah Tickets in the subject line and we will add your e-mail to the entries.   Please do this by March 16.  The drawing will be on March 17, so we have time to e-mail you the good news, get your snail mail address and mail the tickets to you in plenty of time.  Good luck!
