Can't believe we're moving toward the end of August! I went to Staples today and I guess school must start Monday for the local folk, because whole families were in there buying up school supplies. What a crowd! I bought my B2P (bottle to pen), a ball point pen made from recycled water bottles, and got the heck out of there. Then next door was 'puppy adoption day' at Pet Smart so I got into another traffic jam. As a retired person I should know by now that I should do my shopping during the week and stay home on Saturdays, duh!
So, back to the business at hand, even though it's been a hot, hot summer, Julie's 'dye pots' have been boiling and here are some of the results:
Pumpkin Patch - F16's of beautiful oranges on 5 different wool textures
Fall Array II - F16's of 5 vibrant fall colors - deep orange, mottled rust, gold and brown and rich green.
And she's
announcing a 'Wool and Needle Block of the Month'
to begin shipping in September.

The 2012 Fall Issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects is now available and we are making samples and kits for two of the smaller projects in this magazine, 'Pumpkin Square' designed by Rhonda McCray (a pieced project) and 'Sweet Pickins' designed by Peg Springstead (a pieced and appliquéd project). I'll give you a sneak preview once I get them laid out and started and keep you abreast of my progress.
Happy quilting, appliquéing, punchneedling or whatever.
Bye, 'til next time!
